At times we have to choose between the path that is conventional and the path that is not. In today's world that once worn path that our great grandparents traveled is so overgrown and forgotten that it barely exists. Our goal is to reforge that forgotten path and make it new again.

A Visit From a Pit Bull
This past weekend we had another visitor from the stray facility. China, the pit bull, stayed with us for a couple of days. She was pretty shy, Dylan scared her the first time they saw each other. Dylan took advantage of this and teased her the rest of the weekend the way cats tease dogs. China tried to play with Ferris and Simon a few times but when they played back, China didn't really know what to do. I threw the ball and when Simon and Ferris ran for it, China hung back and barked at them. When Simon and Ferris had enough of fetch, China retrieved the ball a few times for me. Once or twice she even tried to play with Dylan by barking at her and going into play stance. China is a very nice dog, she was like a shadow to Joe and I in turns. When I drove her back to the stray facility on Monday she sat in the front seat beside me and looked out the windows the whole way there. It was a little sad saying goodbye to her, she is such a nice dog. I heard from a friend that she was adopted this week and has a new home. So I guess I can't be sad for her, just for me.

Aww she sounds like a great dog! I hope she is happy in her new home. The dog stories are really making me want to get Berly a friend, Danny is not letting me go to the shelter here though because he knows I would come home with a carful.
